Nursing home facility charged with negligence
Recently, the state charged Metron Integrated Health Systems with nursing home abuse and neglect an alleged cover up in the death of a resident. The victim was on oxygen treatments due to a kidney problem. At the nursing home, the tank ran out of oxygen and it is believed that the resident died of asphyxiation. No autopsy was performed because the director of the facility also served as the assistant medical examiner of the county.
